A Comparison of Sexual Habits in the US and Europe
Research company Harris Interactive has just released findings from its summer sex poll detailing the differences between European and American sex habits, after asking more than five thousand people between the ages of 16-64 a variety of questions about their sex lives. Some of the more interesting findings include:
- While 37% of monogamous partners in France would forgive their other half should they undertake a sexual liason with someone else, 51% of Britons felt the same way;
- No matter where people live, the average age for a first sexual encounter is 18;
- Italian men stated that they had sex an average of 8.9 times a month (the highest average of all respondents), but Italian women placed their sexual encounters at a mere 5.8 times a month;
- A quarter of all American respondents admitted to having sex with someone they had met on an online dating site, whereas 14% of Britons said the same.
I not only found these poll results interesting, I've now decided to look a bit further into this research and see what else came from it. What do you think of the poll findings?
