Is It Ever Okay To Date Your Best Friends Ex?

I recently wrote a dating FAQ that covers this question (Can I Date My Best Friend's Ex?), but whether you can date your best friends ex and whether or not you should date your best friends ex are two completely different things - a fact which was pointed out to me recently by an ex of my own. For me, sometimes it really doesn't matter and I am nothing but thrilled to see an ex has moved on both successfully and happily. Yet others... others I would have a hard time with.

No it is not!
It’s never black or white. I had a friend who dumped our friendship, dumped her man, and he and I ended up falling in love. Now, she pretends to care and its apparently taboo? She lost out on both accounts and we are happy, and we certainly don’t need to apologize for it, nor do we worry about her – she can go be happy with new friends and new men.
