Celebrity Breakups of 2007

2007 was full of celebrity breakups, some of which were scandalous while others were just plain sad - or dare I say it? - warranted. I mean, it doesn't take an insider to figure out that a ten-year, on-again off-again relationship (such as Diddy and Kim Combs) would eventually end, or that a relationship plagued with serious drug and alcohol issues (like Pete Doherty and Kate Moss') would finish with a happily ever after.

Still, even I was shocked by a couple celebrity breakups this year. Justin Timberlake and Cameron Diaz seemed quite solid after four years together, as did Heath Ledger and Michelle Williams after three years. But counter that with (what seems to me to be) the bizarre couplings of Denise Richards and Ritchie Sambora (basically, Denise dated her best friends' ex), or Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson (I don't know where to start there), and I'll admit its been a doozy of a year for dating couples in celebrity circles.
