Dating Blog Carnival #5
Welcome to the May 15, 2008 edition of the dating blog carnival. With 22 submissions this week, I had a lot of reading to do to choose the best of the best. Thanks to everyone who applied, and make sure to keep the submissions coming!
We begin this week with Allison Jones's entry about Learning to be Single and Happy posted at Entry Level Living. It's a bit of a sad post, where Allison finds out that what she thought was her boyfriend of three months ended up being something completely different. She ends her post with a request for feedback and suggestions about learning how to be single and happy, which immediately reminded me that I haven't written any content on the subject since Being Single on Valentine's Day.
So imagine my surprise when our next dating blog carnival submission by SJ Yee attempts to answer at least part of Allison's question, with 101 Affirmations You Can Start Using Today posted at Personal Development for the Book Smart. It's a great list of affirmations that can be used for a variety of life situations, including some at the end that are relationship oriented.
I've gotten a kick out ofP.L. Frederick's submissions the past few weeks, more so because I'm a blunt blogger and not really a funny one, so someone who can take dating and turn it (rightfully) into something to laugh about gets a thumbs up in my books. This week Frederick discusses What Not To Say On The First Date posted at Small and Big, which deserves a bit of dark/dry sense of humor warning. Still, I had to laugh at Frederick's last entry on his list, as he pointed out that he's guilty of uttering it - as, unfortunately, have I. Madeleine Begun Kane also gave me yet another giggle with her short yet sweet poem entitled Belated Apology posted at Mad Kane's Humor Blog
That concludes this edition. To submit your blog post to the next dating blog carnival or to apply to be a host, please review the dating blog carnival guidelines.
