Dating Blog Carnival #8 - Is It Getting Steamy In Here?
Welcome to the June 12th, 2008 edition of the dating blog carnival. I've taken a two week break from the dating carnival to re-prioritize. I've decided to continue for now, but will only be running the carnival every two weeks or so (depending on the number of submissions). As well, I'm going to start adding comments about blog posts not submitted but that I've run across in my own RSS feed reading.
This week's carnival seemed to have a mind of its own. Almost every submission was about seduction or intimacy. Is someone trying to tell me that summer love is just around the corner? Hm. Now that would be a very nice surprise indeed.
Who Says Size Doesn't Matter? submitted by our last blog carnival host, Martha over at Thrive! Magazine, holds a bit of a misleading title when it comes to intimacy, yet Martha still has a very good point: why do men lie about their height on online dating sites? (My guess: the same reason why women lie about their age or weight).
Indiana Jones and What We Can Learn From Him via Glowing Face Man is a longer blog post from a pseudo alpha-male's perspective about how to use fictional swoon-worthy characters as role models for real-world seduction. There is nothing romantic about Glowing Face Man's post, and in places I'll admit I was a bit turned off by his, er, one-dimensional portrayal of the fairer sex. This isn't the kind of blog post you want to read if you're easily offended, and it will undoubtedly create controversy and discussion. I've included it here because debate is important to the dating process - don't you think?
6 Ways to Screw Up In the Bedroom over at Incurable Romantic is a tell-all about submitter Marc and his now-wife's initial romance. It's a sweet, sexy tale full of mixed signals and blush-worthy attempts at seduction on both partners' parts, and I loved reading every single word.
That concludes this edition. To submit your blog post to the next dating blog carnival or to apply to be a host, please review the dating blog carnival guidelines.
