The YouTube Of Online Dates?

Tuesday September 23, 2008

WooMe, a free online speed dating company, will be offering its users the opportunity to post their online dates for the world to see, says Jason Kincaid over at TechCrunch.

Online speed dating is a variation of traditional speed dating, where users sign up and meet people via web cam and microphone within minutes of having creating an online dating profile. Previously those not invited to the speed date (WooMe allows anywhere from two to six people to participate at any given "event") weren't able to view the dates, but now if both participants agree, anyone can take a peek at their first meetup.

I guess there are stranger things to watch online; look at some of the things that end up on YouTube. But will anyone really want to watch these first dates - many of which are uncomfortable, awkward, or just plain hilarious? You tell me.
