Every single one of these books has something unusual or special to offer its readers, and it was hard for me to share my thoughts about each in an unbiased, non-cheerleadery way. I've read them all, enjoyed each one for different reasons, and wish they could have all won. 30 Days offers some practical, daily advice to those suffering from a recent breakup, while 31 Days is a great true story about a woman who thought dating wasn't giving her what she needed, so she went out on a date with a different guy for 31 days, and ended up finding the love of her life. Attached takes a tricky subject - compatibility and our inherent attachment nature - and makes it both accessible and fun to read, with a lot of advice of what to do if you find yourself in a, uh, more negative attachment style. Then there's How To Raise a Boyfriend, a humorous look at dating and relationship today along with the author's advice on how to "raise" a situation to benefit you, and Sealing the Deal, which helps women looking to go from long term relationship to married woman in no time flat.
31 Dates in 31 Days won this category, and I wasn't surprised when I saw the results. Tamara has a huge following because of her book (and media appearances because of it), and the read is a fun, quick jaunt through one woman's inner struggle with self-acceptance, with a lovely prize at the end of the day: love.
