Created in Haiti using a unique method with which to create this gorgeous wall hanging. Artists trained in the craft take scrubbed, large oil drums and flatten them, thus creating a "canvas". A pattern is then drawn on the flattened barrel with chalk, and then is hand chiseled into an extremely intricate carving. Each piece is signed by the Haitian artist, and is finished with lacquer so it can be used either indoors or out.
