As the guys file into the club, a written message a comes up on the television: There are no actors in the club. Meaning, I'm assuming, that no one has been planted in the club.
Joe the supposed gay guy strikes out first with two women, who end up turning their backs on him almost as soon as he walks up. Purdeep is the second one to bail, but mostly because he talks to the guys in the bar and not one woman. Purdeep explains that he wants to talk to the guys because he finds it easier, and is too scared to approach a woman on his own.
Brady's up next, and he starts out well enough. But he flops almost instantly, and with a, "Good job! Awesome..." He's rejected outright.
Scott the stutterer starts off by giving out his name and asking for hers, but is told almost immediately that she's not available after he asks for her phone number.
Mystery has high hopes for Joe, but isn't terribly fond of what he's wearing, and compares his outfit to another guy of similar stature who got it right. Joe gets talking fairly well, but the gals aren't interested in the least and take off.
Fred the 45-year-old virgin does surprisingly well at first, meeting up with a gal who lives in the same area as him, but then he makes the mistake of asking how the lady's family did during Katrina, to which she replied she lost two family members. Fred bails before it can get any worse, and he's done for the night.
Alvaro takes his time to talk to a gal - so much time in fact that he never even talks. Mystery is quite upset that he didn't even try to approach a woman at all.
Spoon starts off by asking two girls if they'd like his hair in a Mohawk, and one of the two actually turns away from the conversation. The other tries to engage him in a weird conversation about a health diet, "not weight loss diet", to which Spoon asks, "Do you have bad health or something?"
After the guys strike out, Mystery and his men go into the club while all eight contestants watch them at work. It isn't surprising that the three hosts do well and pick up a gaggle of women in the club in a surprising amount of time, including some of the girls that the others had previously struck out with, or who were told they were taken and not available. One gal throws herself at Mystery saying she loves him, and another starts making out with him minutes after meeting. J Dogg and Matador are equally successful, and the contestants are openly jealous and incredulous all at the same time.
The last few minutes of the show is filled with clips from future episodes, and Mystery explains that no one is being eliminated this week - so let's start learning how to be a Master Pick Up Artist with episode number two.
