Grab a book that your lover is reading (that isn’t terribly valuable) and either highlight or underline with a pencil sequential letters to spell out a romantic message or cute love quote. Perhaps, “I love you,” would suffice, but anything meaningful to the two of you would also work. Alternatively, underline a romantic passage in the book while writing in the margin, “This made me think of you,” and signing your name.
