- I usually attend speed dating events given by 8minuteDating (http://8minutedating.com/). 8minuteDating has a good concept. They give you just eight, eight minute dates. By giving you fewer dates, for a longer period of time, the event worked much better. And at the end of night, the event and the women you met were not such a blur. 8minuteDating's major drawback was that, at their events men almost always outnumbered women, sometimes substantially. The organizers would always claim that they had booked an equal amount of women and men for the event and that the women just did not show up. But this happened a lot and I do not understand why the organizers did not just over book the event with women knowing that a percentage of the women would not show. Overall I would recommend trying them as I did find their events usually lead to dates.
