Single, A Documentary
If you live in the New York area, you may be interested in attending a screening of the new documentary film, "Single", which discusses how being single has evolved over the past few decades and as a result how finding (and keeping!) a partner has become a complex dance instead of a romantic notion.
The New Filmmakers is hosting the film Single and several other short films on July 22nd at The Anthology Film Archives, starting at 6pm.
For the rest of us who live elsewhere, the film's website lets you take a peek at the trailer, review the experts interviewed, look at some of the photos from behind the scenes, or even buy the DVD. If any of you get a chance to attend the screening, do post a comment and let the rest of us know what you thought.

When is this film coming to Australia? Would love to see it asp. There are plenty of singles here down Under
.
A “complex dance” may be the reality for singles seeking a partner, but I hope the romance part of it still plays an important role.
Hi…I’m one of the co-producers of “Single.”
Arthur, no worries — the film confirms that romance is still alive and well, yet the reality is there are more societal complexities and distractions today that make things a bit more challenging. Tom, thanks for your interest! We are looking into screenings of “Single” outside the US, but in the meantime, the film is available for purchase on DVD at indieflix.com. They ship everywhere!
Check back to our web site for the screening schedule.
We hope you enjoy watching the film as much as we enjoyed creating it.
