Ever wanted to take a vacation but hated the idea of going somewhere exotic, alone? I've opted not to travel too much for this reason alone, as I'd much rather share the journey with someone I care about and can talk about the great experiences for years to come. But, with the influx of travel companies catering to solo travelers in the past couple of years, being single isn't an excuse any more. Now, companies like Singles Cruises and Meet Market Adventures cater to not only people who prefer to travel by themselves, but singles looking to meet someone special while on the journey.
I personally think this is an excellent idea, and would love to try it. What about you? Have you attended a singles travel event, or met someone while traveling as a single person? Would you recommend it to other singles?

To the men out there…there are many more single women going on cruises than single men. They are a great way to meet new people and besides what’s the worst that could happen…. you may not meet the woman of your dreams, however you will get a little R&R. It is definately worth the chance to get both!
Thanks for the input!
I find it interesting that you say the gals outnumber the guys for the most part. A friend of mine told me the last singles cruise she went on, there were 3 guys for every gal!
I guess it varies, but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if the ‘norm’ was that there are more women than men on these kinds of cruises.
I think this is a great idea. Cruise is a great environment for man to pick up woman. But I still have some concerns about man will get a woman who stay far from where he stays. It’ll be a long distance relationship or it might be hard to create when they know where each other come from.
