Your sexual orientation and relationship status don't matter at Fling.com. Those wanting a casual dating relationship or something more adult-oriented will find lots of bells and whistles here, along with a larger-than-average user base. Technically a free dating site in that it doesn't charge to contact other members, but this could change at any time and some features require a paying membership. Have you used Fling.com? Fling.com

Fling.com is a relationship site for people who want a fling, casual dating, or sexual encounter with men, women, transsexuals and/or couples. With that in mind, all of the features focus on the adult nature of the site, including:

  • A strong search feature that enables matching by age, sex, location, availability of photos, new members, and what the person is interested in (such as fetish, online flirting or group sex);

  • Photos, instant messaging and video chat, all of which permit nudity and some sexual contact;

  • The ability to contact up to five members a day with a free membership (while the site is on its trial membership basis).

Fling.com has a surprising number of long-standing members, even in smaller metropolitan and rural areas, although there are unquestionably more men than women on the site. In the areas I searched in, users were predominantly heterosexual men in their early 20's, with approximately 10 men for every woman.

Based on the larger number of users and the membership levels of Silver and Gold, I had to wonder if Fling.com is sharing the same user database as Adult Friend Finder, which uses the same terminology. A quick search found that yes, FriendFinder Networks owns Fling.com, although there's no word whether or not they share the same database of members. Fling.com does have it's own sign in page however, as well as a different format, look and feel.

Unique Features of Fling.com

Fling has a number of interesting features that a lot of other casual dating sites forgo, including video chat, a blackbook feature (essentially a friends list), the ability to "safely" search (meaning: shut off viewing of explicit photos and video feeds),and put your profile in discreet mode (only allowing people in your blackbook to view your profile). Every users home page also shows a random list of live cam feeds from different users - which although it makes the page load a bit slower than normal, is still a fun, frivolous, and very frequently used feature.

Fling.com Costs

There are currently no membership costs for Fling.com, although their homepage states this is a "introductory trial offer for a limited time".

Silver memberships include the ability to see all profiles and photos, manage your own virtual "blackbook", join in chat and video chat rooms, and compose and read messages to/from other members. Both paid memberships also offer a 3 month guarantee, where if the user doesn't hook up with someone within those three months, they get another three months, free of charge. Fees for a Silver membership at Fling.com are $4.95 for a 3 day trial, $24.95 a month, or 3 months for $49.95.

A Gold membership offers all of the same features as a Silver, but with the additional benefits of having top-listed search results, becoming a featured member, and letting free members email you at no extra charge.

Featured members are shown above the fold on most pages and on every search page, and receive this status by paying a non-recurring, bi-weekly $9.95 USD fee or by getting a Gold membership.

Fling = Hardly Worth It, Member FrankWhite33

If I could give it 2 and a half stars I would because it's almost average, I guess, for an ""adult hookup"" dating site. This is a site that's apparently marketed to different people under different names. Oftentimes, many of the nice-looking regular girls on the site sign up thinking they are joining True.com or MeetRichMen or something like that (so I've been told by quite a few of them). Many do NOT join thinking they are joining a ""hook-up / fling / one-night stand"" type of website. That's why they are a little disconcerted at first, seeing lots of guys with nude or hardcore pics on their profiles. Having said that, it IS possible to get a fling out of Fling, I have done so, twice actually. But (and this is guy talk here) the quality of what you're going to be working with is going to be a bit lower than what you might be thinking, if you know what I mean. Many guys probably go on here and sit there forever and rarely if ever even get any looks at their profile. This is because the site is so heavily male as opposed to (real) female. Now there ARE some real ones there, but they generally get so many messages and IM's that they don't even have to approach anyone; they're basically nearly backlogged with messages shortly after joining. Overall, I wouldn't wholly recommend this site. But, if you're kind of desperate for some action (and don't want to have to buy it), try it out for a month (note: you will have to call an 800 # to deactivate the recurring subscription, otherwise you'll get hit for another 35 bucks -- gold membership price -- after the one month is up). You might get some action here, but don't expect it to be like one of the girls whose pictures they use to lure you in, that's for sure.
